Our first impression was "small room", "small pool", but after visiting the private beach, all else was secondary. The sand was wonderful, no rip tides, and it was fairly shallow quite a ways out. The place was very clean, our room had been updated. It's a small resort, so not many guests to share the beach/pool with. Mostly older couples, like us. It's a ways from town, and there really isn't any nightlife. The food at the hotel is good (including the buffet breakfast) which is a wonderful thing since it was off season and nothing else was open. We took a rental car around the island one day and stopped in the nature reserve for a quick tour. Enjoyed that very much--saw 6 indigenous bird species. My husband scuba dived one day and got to pet a shark. We snorkeled right at the beach at the hotel and saw many beautiful fish, a sting ray and a turtle. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a peaceful get-away in the sun!
