There seemed to be no one really minding the details of running a hotel: door handles missing, shoddy wire contraption to hold the shower head in place, broken off/missing soap dish in shower stall, poor lighting (absolutely nowhere to read in the room except in the toilet), blown light bulbs, dirty flimsy drapery providing no privacy... Complaints led to a change of room to one across the road in the newer segment of the hotel, but there too, there were causes for wonder at how the hotel is being managed (soap dish also broken off in shower stall).

Friendly staff could not make up for what seems to be a managerial gap.
