We enjoyed a wonderful 2 weeks at the Bacolet Beach Club in April and look forward to staying there again soon. Our room was right by the pool - great for evening swims! (PS. there isn't a hole in the bottom of the swimming pool - it's a mosaic of a palm tree!). The room was very comfortable and clean with one of the best air con systems ever (quiet and not too cold). The beach is very pleasant, with ample loungers and safe swimming (apart from a couple of days when the Portuguese Man of War jellyfish came ashore (but that can happen on any of the beaches in Tobago). Great beach bar for nice cold beer and bird watching - the local Mot-mot visits every day and poses for the camera! We enjoyed dinner at Cafe Havana several times, which was very good and not overly expensive for Tobago. It's definitely worth hiring a car - we used Thrifty who were efficient and the car was in very good condition, useful for the very bendy, hilly roads! Staff at Bacolet Beach Club were friendly and helpful at all times.
