This was our third visit to Coco Reef (Nov '09)and once again it was a memorable holiday. It's so relaxing to spend days on the beach with great swimming / snorkelling and a very efficient drinks service during the day. The management and staff really do make an effort to ensure their guests are looked after and we have made some good friendships among them. Food was excellent. Lobster is occasionally on the menu with a surcharge of approx 28 pounds sterling - and well worth it! There were numerous repeat guests during our stay, which is probably the best indicator of how the resort is judged by many. We hired a jeep for a couple of days and enjoyed some good trips to both sides of the island. Driving is on the left which is fine for UK drivers. The roads between villages can be very winding and steep with occasional pot-holes and side drainage channels and so there is certainly no chance for the driver to enjoy the scenery! However, we would hire a car again as it adds an extra dimension to the holiday. Petrol/gas stations are few and far between and therefore you need to keep a close eye on the fuel guage - not easy if you can't take your eyes off the road! A map showing fuel station locations is therefore essential and most hirers will provide this as normal. So I can highly recommend the Coco Reef once again and we will hopefully return for a fourth visit one day.
