Tobago was a last minute addition to our 5 week trip to the Caribbean. With short notice I contacted Gillian and through a stroke of luck the Flamboyant Condo in Black Rock Dreams was available. This condo made our vacation perfect, the cherry on top! We’re not really the resort type of family so we really treasured the quiet uncrowded beach right in front of us. Each morning you can watch fishermen bring in catch, take walks, swim and snorkel on the beach right in front of Flamboyant.

The suite itself was advertised as fully stocked, but this was above and beyond. It was everything you’d ever need; cooking spices, every kitchen appliance, patio fridge, washer and dryer, to all the little extras like reading books, pool toys and a music collection. The place was tastefully decorated, very clean and spacious with lots of light and windows. I really can’t say enough good things about this suite. We raved to each other about it during our whole stay.

Arriving in Tobago we felt as though we discovered a hidden gem. Being from Canada the most obvious vacation choices are Mexico & Cuba. Although both great, we just hadn't heard much about Tobago and really did not know what to expect. We found people to be friendly and extremely helpful. We felt safe to walk around to shops, at the beach and travel in taxis, everyone was kind and curious to know more about us. We found a lot of the island to be beautifully untouched, winding roads lined with greenery to natural beaches without resorts blocking entry. Oh and diving the coral reef was such an added treat. Beautiful! We've been home for a week now and already trying to convince friends to consider Tobago for their next holiday. Not to take away from the other islands but it was certainly our favorite out of the 4 islands we visited on this trip.
