We went to Tobago to celebrate my husbands 40th birthday, without the kids, so we wanted somewhere relaxing that wasn't surrounded by big Hotels. Castara was perfect and our accommodation did not disappoint. You can walk to the crystal clear bay in 30 seconds and then be relaxing in the hammock having a Carib watching the most amazing sunset. The kitchen is really well equipped, bathroom really clean and the bed is super comfy. The manager Rolling is super helpful and will pop by if you need help with anything. If you want to eat out Sharon runs the best restaurant in town which is on the beach, she does the most delicious mains and veg. We ate there alot. But if you really want to venture in to town it's a very short walk over the hill where there are more places to eat, shops and bars. The bay there is a working fisherman's bay so it's great to sit and watch the men bring in their catch. We hired a car for a few days and explored the bays further up and they were stunning, often we had them to ourselves. We had a truly wonderful time and will definitely return!
