We had a wonderful rainforest tour with Peter Cox in May 2011. He is a quiet, most professional man - no exagerrated claims or self promotion - just a real interest in the birds and their well being. We had to get up early for a 6.30 a.m. start and he gave us some drinks and energy bars and bananas to keep us going until our return in the early afternoon. He showed us many different birds all along the road, often leaning out of the window to call them and when the Trogon bird didn't appear Peter called it continually and eventually it answered and came right on a branch in front of us. Then we saw some amazing rare birds (Blue backed Manakin) "dancing" at their "lek" in the rainforest itself and a very rare fly catcher (White tailed Sabre wing) on a branch catching flies in the air.. Although we are complete nobodies in the world of birdwatching, he took the same care to show us everything that he would have done for some big birding enthusiasts. He even managed to get a book for us on the birds of Tobago - we didn't have time to go and buy it ourselves as the book shop was too far away. We cannot recommend him highly enough. I wish we could have done the island tour with him - we will have to go back again for that.
