I was not aware that the hotel developement had stopped and there were ugly concrete holes in the ground opposite the villa....so the view was not very nice to look out on. The position of the villa was due north and so we were blocked from seeing the sunset and this also meant that the sun never was over the pool which remained icy (by caribbean standards) all the time. There was little or no sun in that area and so no sun bathing possible. We tried pouring boiling water into the pool....LOL.....it did not work ....The birds were very interesting in the day and the bats at night. We think that these bats ate all the mosquitoes and so it was very comfortable which is a plus!!!!!!
The service was excellent and the rental car too.
