Reliable, safe drivers

Post by Mark Farrington »

We took a number of taxis while at the BWI in Speyside in early February 2005, and there are 2 local guys we can happily recommend as being highly punctual, pleasant, safe drivers, and having nice modern cars:

Albert Pilgrim - home: 868-660-6050, mobile: 868-775-5636 [email protected] [he drives a Honda SUV]

and his brother-in-law Norton on 868-798-6444 [a spotless new Nissan Laurel].

All the locals use the 1-handed driving style [!], but these 2 are perfectly safe drivers in my view.

Speyside taxis

Would they be the sort of taxis to fetch us from the airport next Thursday? We are staying at Blue Waters and I was going to book a taxi from the airport, but maybe these guys are better? Would they be able to handle an advance booking?

As David says, the BWI efficiently arranges taxis from the airport, so you're probably better asking them.

In our view, however, the cars & driving of Albert and Norton were better than the guy provided by BWI for us [he was OK, though, which is more than can be said about a couple of others we went with before finding our recommended guys!].
