The Castara Eco Villa is a beautiful house located in Castara, three minutes walk to the beach. The kitchen is very well equiped, microwave, toaster, electric cooker and oven, fridge with freezing compartment. The bedrooms have aircondition and mosquitonets. The bathroom with shower and toilett includes a big space for your personal belongings. The house was refurnished in 2011, so most of the things are brand new. The house is surrounded by a big garden with banana trees, mango trees and flowers. When you are sitting outside in the morning you can see a lot of different birds coming very close to the house.
The hosts, Finbar and Joan and their family are very very nice and courteous, they did everything to make us feel happy and comfortable, gave us help in organising excursions, guides etc.!
Because the house is located on a small hill, you have to climb several steps, it is not suitable for mobile restricted persons.
The only thing that disturbed us was the very loud music from the little shop down the steet every night. Finbar will talk to the people not to play loud music when guest stay at Eco Villa, so maybe it will be more quiet in the future.
Castara is a small village with some little shops, were you can buy bread, milk, water and fruits. If you want to shop in a supermarket with a bigger choise you have to drive 30 to 45 minutes by car.
Overall the house is a very nice place to spent your holidays in Castara, we can highly recommend it!
