Room was generally ok and clean, but hotel outer walls on beachfront side need more maintenance and I guess this is difficult to do as it is prone to direct sea blast. While the outer walls of rooms near the lobby were clean and updated, those near the room we were assigned, on the beachfront side of room 179, were extremely dirty. In fact, room 178 had a jacuzzi that wasn't cleaned in a very long time due to sand and dust particles blown from seaside. This was an eyesore. The beach in front hotel is too rough for bathing but we knew that before going so this was not an issue. The bellman, housekeeper, Manager and most of the staff at Pembois restaurant in the morning for breakfast and the manager at Salaka Grill for lunch on Monday February 27, 2017 were all exceptional in the performance of their duties and ensured we were ok at all times. Nice to see local items on the menu. A rental car is highly recommended.
