My family stayed at the Tropikist in August 2008 and had a wonderful time. We were glad that we had not chosen all-inclusive as generally the food was not great, although the breakfasts (especially the omelettes cooked by an excellent cook) were scrumptious.
Although you cannot swim off the nearby beach, it is a short walk to the sandy beach where we went swimming every day.
The pool is fantastic for kids and we met many families.
One reason why our stay was so good was that we had a fantastic view - some of the 'garden views' were not so good.
There are no real facilities in the rooms, just a small fridge, so we would bring at least a kettle etc next time.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
We thoroughly enjoyed our 24 night stay and will definitley use the Tropikist again, hopefully choosing the same room.
