We stayed here for 4 nights April 2013, you certainly get what you pay for, we were in a suite complete with kitchen and a huge bed. The staff were very friendly and attentive to our needs, the property was what you expect from a 5 star hotel, spotlessly clean, very comfortable, excellent food and really quite reasonable prices for the extras such as dinner and drinks. The recently completed upgrading work gives the whole place an air of comfort and relaxation. The grounds are really extensive and the wildlife stunning, the birds in particular. We did the trip to Little Tobago, doing the birdwatching trip rather than the glass bottom boat & snorkel trip, we did get to snorkel during our trip but, the birdwatching was the highlight and made even more interesting by the guide from Frankies Tours who operated the boat. If we had a complaint it was the breakfast, this is advertised as a buffet but, you get to serve yourself cereal, toast, juice and tea/coffee, you are given a menu for main breakfast which is a good selection but limited, as full is only bacon or sausage with an egg wheras it should really be bacon, egg, sausage etc as we English expect, having said that if you can eat the Divers Omlette you will not need to eat again that day until your evening meal and certainly do not eat it if you intend diving!!!!
All round a wonderful experience in a top class hotel which richly deserves its 5 star rating.
