Blue Waters Inn in Speyside was our first introduction to Tobago. My husband and I enjoyed our stay despite the Inn's experiences. On our first night a large thunderstorm hit Speyside and a lightening bolt hit the Inn’s power supply. As a result the power was gone and they ran the Inn off of a generator. Although the Inn kept us informed of their trying situation, we never felt inconvenienced with their struggle to keep the electricity on for their guests. We are travelers that roll with the punches.

The accommodations were not glitzy – and we had everything we needed: a bed, storage, bathroom, lights, and shower. Our room looked freshly painted in bright Caribbean colors. Some areas of the property could use repair like the sidewalks off of the parking lot.

The staff was delightful – from the housekeeping staff to waitresses and bartenders. We enjoyed getting to know the staff and they were a wealth of information to help our stay on Tobago.

We took Frank’s boat out to Angel Reef every day for snorkeling. They also treated us to snorkels near the dock at Little Tobago and Japanese Gardens. These snorkels were the highlights of our trip to Tobago.
