Just back from a few days stay in the Blue Waters Inn the last of our 3 stops. The rooms were large, very large beds and our sons had the room next to ours (a plus since in some hotels they are a distance away). Lovely location but I found the front of house staff unhelpful. No information about meal times was given, there was no hot water for 2 days and no explanation or apology. The nature trails were unfindable: I asked in the lobby but they were unable to tell me where they were and the surface of the tennis/games court is very bad.
I found the staff in the restaurant helpful and if there was a menu we found the food good (if slow in arriving sometimes). At the weekend without warning there was a buffet which was less good.
If you want to eat in Speyside the Birdwatchers restauarant will arrange transport. Even if you have a rental car, the road to Blue Waters is very steep so you may not want to try driving this in the wet/dark.
