I liked the quiet flora and atmosphere at Golden Thistle and was very impressed with the maid service. The apartments were spotless.The breakfast was delicious especially the hot chocolate. I forgot to ask them what brand it is. The receptionist loaned me books to read and generally the friendly staff made our stay very pleasant.
However I found that the pool was unsafe due to the sharp decline from 4 feet into the 8 foot section (especially for children) and parking was insufficient. I would recommend the hotel though for those wishing to re-charge their mental batteries and would like to return myself, in the near future.
