After extremely careful selection, kariwak Village was selected for our honeymoon stay. We were so sceptical and even a little fearful of being disappointed since our package was a bit pricey... after all, you only have one honeymoon! But our fears were soon calmed mere minutes after we arrived at the airport. We called the hotel for transportation (which was part of our package) and Frank arrived very shortly after. The two minute drive to Kariwak was quite pleasant as Frank ensured our comfort and even engaged in friendly chit chat. When we were checked in and taken to our room, we were amazed (and still are) at the layout of the village. It truly is a village in every sense of the word and the housekeeping and maintenance further elevates their already high standards. However, the birds, garden, pool, jacuzzi, restaurant and every part of the hotel for that matter were not as advertised... It was even better!!! Even the best advertisements cannot capture the uniqueness and serenity and originality that Kariwak offers. Sharon was the person who we dealt with most of the time and she was indeed a blessing. She was very kind, patient and accommodating and these qualities were very much appreciated. Kariwak definitely has a gem on their hands... This is not to say that the other staff were lacking though... All staff at Kaiwak that we came into contact with were pleasant, helpful and genuinely friendly and willing to help in whatever way they could! The food was also impecable! Being picky eaters, the food at the restaurant was probably the best we ever had (after my mom's of course)... The dishes were unique and deliciously nutritious and were therefore thoroughly enjoyed, so again, compliments to the chef!!! Generally, our stay was close to perfection and so, was well worth the price. We will be back as often as we can since there is no sense in looking around when you find something that good! To the management and staff at Kariwak Village, thank you for a wonderful stay and please, keep up the excellent work!!!!!
