Hi All,
Has anyone heard if T&T is planning to require proof of yellow fever vaccination for entry? Received an email from Air Caribbean concerning yellow fever and read the recent media announcement in the Tobago News about international immunization card. According to the most recent CDC report, "not recommended for travelers only going to Tobago"...but that may not be the case when arriving; would rather not be surprised.
Cheers,
Carol

Hi Carol

My understanding is that this only affects travellers FROM T&T to certain areas - namely other Caribbean islands, Latin America, Africa and Asia. It does not affect travellers from North America or Europe (including the UK). Visitors arriving from North America and Europe have no need for immunisation and/or need to carry immunisation cards.

This remind me of same situation many years ago. At that tims there were aslo a demand of Yellow Fever vaccination to be allowed to enter T&T.
I was lucky to find a doctor in Stockholm just a few days before leaving, but NO ONE in T&T Immogration asked for proof of such vaccination when I arrived!
I found that there were outbreak of Yellow fever in the sothrern part of Trinidad but not in Cnetral or North and not in Tobago. I was told that the monkeys did carry the virus! We visitorss doesn´t hug monkeys very often!

But if a person goes to South America from Trinidad, some countries are demanding such vaccination.
