Hi there,
My Fiance and I (and 5 other family members) are flying to Tobago on Monday for 2 weeks. I am actually getting married there on 18th April! I was just wondering if anyone knows what the weather is like there at the moment, can I expect to have a tan for the wedding!
Many thanks in advance for any comments!
Alexandra

Hi Alexandra,
I've just checked the forecast on accuweather there is a link to ti th Steve's Miscellaneous section.
Boils down to possible thunderstorms Saturday, then partly cloudy / sunny for the rest of the two weeks.
Don't worry about the cloudy bit you will get a tan even if its overcast.
Enjoy Your Trip
Kevin

Expect ...
High risk of big waves ... good for surfing.
Low humidity ... good for personal freshness.
Searing hot sun ... good for that dark leathery tan (depending on skin of course).
Fresh east wind ... not to be mixed with sea salt (spoils the tan).
A few days of rain ... it happens and the timing is important to give your pretty flesh a rest from the sun after a few days.
Have Fun
Regards

Hi Paul,
I was glad to help but I'm hardly in the same league as yourself as far as the weather goes.
I was very interested in the comments about Lovers Bay, it sounds like a good dive. Is the water deep enough to get one of the fishing boats from Charlottville to drop you off at the beach for the day?
Regards
Kevin

Hi Kevin
The boats would not be able to get that close to Lovers Bay ... maybe a really small one could ... but they can approach the water around Booby Island where it is deeper ... it is only a short swim to the shallow corals around Lovers Bay from there and then you have the option of swimming onto the small beach.
It is very deep on one side of Booby Island ... it gave me vertigo (being a humble snorkeller)!!

Hi Paul
I hope you can manage to find us some nice weather for the end of the week (14th onwards) - and for the following fortnight, especially on the 18th for Alexandra.
Otherwise we're just going to have to carry out extensive Stag vs Carib research and/or check out the local rum punches!
Still - even if it rains - we're on holiday and it's only liquid sunshine!

Poor Jane
Don't worry ... it is very hit and miss.
Could come to nothing but there is alot of weather activity at the moment and it should not last more than a few days/week if anything happens.
Anyway ... look forward to your researches ... try Bonkers Bar for Rum Punch ... be interested in your views.
Cheers

Hi Kevin,
Not sure what happened, but no CD/DVD arrived at Inn on the Bay while we were there. Sorry! (NB I did ask at reception regularly.)
Perhaps the filmakers can be persuaded to send one to you in the UK?
Jane
PS Forgot to mention - despite the wonderful weather we still managed to carry out extensive research re Stag vs Carib.
Our conclusion is Carib every time!!
