We highly recommend Sandcastles & Castara as a perfect place to unwind. Castara is an idyllic village, with almost empty beaches (at this time of year anyway) and such friendly people (but no hassle toward us two women travelling together).

The location of Sandcastles was perfect - up on a hill so with stunning views out to sea, very quiet apart from the birdsong, and a good walk from the beach to give us a bit of exercise. The apartments were clean and comfortable and we enjoyed having the kitchen to self-cater a bit.

Adam, Ria & Elizabeth were great hosts - relaxed, friendly & helpful. They also recommended we take a boat trip with local guide Loady, who was lovely and looked after us very well both during the day's outing and later that night when we went dancing till the early hours on the other side of the island.

Thanks Adam & Ria for a great stay. Am finding it difficult to adapt to being home again!
