Walking in the rainforest area

Post by Edwina »

Hi

We are going to be in Tobago over Christmas - just about to organise the packing. So can anyone tell me please if we are likely to need walking boots for the trails in the rainforest area. I have read that they can be quite muddy - but not sure what the condition of them is at present.

Thankyou

Hello Edwina,a good pair of trainers should normally do,however if it is exceptionally wet you can rent wellingtons! But don't please go wandering in the rain forrest without a guide.

Thank you for your reply. We are staying at Cuffie River resort for a few days - so will be with Desmond for our walks.

Boots are for rent at Argyle falls, trails I have been on not too muddy, good tennis shoes OK. Look for Mankins and forest crabs! Happy trails! (33 days till c'ville)
