Caroleeee

Try typing the website into http://babelfish.altavista.com/

It's not a perfect translation from German to English, but you will get the gist of it.

Caroleeee,I swear by citronell oil,a couple of drops in a base oil(almond or baby oil)about3/4 drops to 100ml seems to work. You can even add it to your sun screen.

@jill: do you really believe in baelfish? I usually use it to write a text (for a birthday of a friend or something) translate ist in to another lagnuage and back to german. what you get in the end has nothing to do with the first text...so I let them guess and later hand them the original...a party gag highly enjoyed!!!

Hello Jill and Steph!
This has nothing to do with the original question but fits in nicely with what you said about translations. This is something I discovered in "The Tresco Times":
" If yuo cna raed tihs, yuo hvea a sgtrane mnid too.Cna yuo raed tihs? Vrey few plepoe can.
I cdnuolt blveiee taht I cluod aulacity uesdnatnrd waht I was rdanieg. The phaonmneal pweor of the hmuan mnid, aoccdrnig to a rscheearch at Cmabrigde Uinervtisy, is taht it dseno't mtaetr in waht oerdr the ltteres in a wrod are. The olny iproamtnt tihng is taht the frsit and lsat ltteer be in the rghit pclae. Tihs is bcyseae the huamn mnid deos not raed ervey lteter by istlef, but the wrod as a wlohe. Azanmig eh?
"
My brain hurts.
Cheers

Steph,

Yes you are right, the grammar and order of the words leaves a lot to the imagination, but you can get the general idea.

And meanwhile, poor Carole eeeee is still looking for natural mozzie repellants!!

To be honest - citronella didn't seem to work for me (still got bitten - don't know if there would have been more bites without it?), neither did taking lots of Vit B (tablets and marmite!)

I'm firmly of the opinion that if the mozzies etc decide that you are lunch - then you are lunch!

I know it's not evironmentally friendly, natural etc - but Off! worked better than anything else for us.

This is a popular subect on the forum. It appears that what works for one doesn't work for another. Sorry to be of no use whatsoever Carolee.

Yeh - I'd LOVE to be one of the people that mozzies never bother.

Or maybe I'd love to patent whatever it is about people that mozzies never bother - I'd make a fortune! :D

Shame that chemistry or whatever isn't my forte! :(
