Outstanding location, pool and beach. Loved the tree with the sign "Caution - dangerous tree". Figured it must be posted for all those on the all inclusive plan that need to get their moneys worth on alcohol and might walk into it if not marked.
Room was good size. Could use a little more lighting. Bath sadly in need of updating. Food was fine for breakfasts and the few other meals we took there. So many other nice places to dine, why confine one's self to just the hotel ?
For the life of me, do not understand why all the security guards around the hotel. Did not meet anyone in the least threatening in a week of bouncing around the island.
Would go back if airlines puts a better schedule on from the U.S. Not sure this is worth 2 days of traveling.

Hi

There´s trees in the Caribbean one should not touch, that´s why the sign say "Dangerous tree". Different peoples react different but it not nice at all.

The particular tree is poisonous.Even sheltering from the rain or sun under it is definitely NOT a good idea.Every part of the tree is bad----so stay away!!

The tree is a Manchineel tree. All parts of it are poisonous so do not eat Manchineel apples...
Taking cover under it when it rains causes the poison to dissolve in the rain giving You a nasty skin irritation.

Maybe they should make things clearer by using the word " poisonous" rather than "dangerous."
I hope the unfortunate person who had to put up the sign wore protective clothing and a hat!

poisonous alone would not do either... you even should not hang your wet clothes over it because you'll still get the skin irritation when you put them back on... [-X
you are right, a clearer sign would be most appropriate!!! maybe just "stay away from this tree" would do...

I´ve seen better signs in Caribbean, a sign with a photo and clear information why the tree is dangerous. A sign type "Stay away from this tree" doesn´t make much sense, real information does make sense.
