We knew from the website that the villa would be something special but to eventually arrive up the steep drive to this wonderful exotic hilltop villa was spectacular.

The wonderful 180 degree panoramic view looks over the very inviting infinity pool, down through the lush valley and beyond to Arnos Vale Bay (ideal for snorkelling) and in the distance Buccoo Reef. The pool plus the extensive split level patio allows the choice of shade and sun making it a perfect place to relax or entertain at all hours of the day.

The villa is spacious and the open plan living space is well appointed with all 4 bedrooms en suite with air conditioning and ceiling fans. The kitchen has everything you need and an oven large enough to easily roast TWO turkeys, if you are lucky enough to be there for Christmas, as we were together. There is a large fridge/freezer and most importantly another fridge to keep the drinks cold!

A short walk takes you down to the beach via the winding path through the villa garden, and grounds of the quiet Arnos Vale Bay Hotel and onto the secluded beach. Sharing the beach at the height of the season (Christmas) with at least six other people can’t be bad!

The hotel has a patio festooned with bird feeders giving you an opportunity early morning and afternoon to see a huge variety of birds including the blue crested mot mot, tanagers, banaquits and chacalacas –and best of all colourful humming birds are within touching distance.

Tobago is not a large island but we found plenty to do and see. If you want to get around a car is essential and the roads are good though windy, so please don’t be in a hurry. The drive up the west coast gives splendid views leading down to almost deserted beaches.

It is an unspoilt paradise and we look forward to returning one day. Highly recommended!
