From the moment arriving at Moonlight Mountain, we were warmly greeted by Ginny & Kelly, which was a great welcome for our first time in Tobago. We had found out about the house through Trip Advisor, as we wanted something a bit different from one of the standard hotels on the island. It’s situated on a hill overlooking Scarborough with the most stunning view over the city on one side, and into the lush forest on the other. Each room has it’s own balcony and very comfy hammock, and the overall vibe is sheer relaxation.

Throughout the trip, Ginny was the best guide we could have wished for, with amazing knowledge of the Island and key advice for things we couldn’t miss out on. She was extremely helpful and gave a personal touch that could not be found in the larger hotels.

We had breakfast every morning, which was a great way to start the day, with tasty flying fish some days and scrambled egg other. There was always fresh fruit, very tasty homemade juice and we ate it while over looking the stunning view from the house.

We took part in one of Ginny’s yoga classes in Kariwak, which was a truly spiritual and relaxing experience. If we had more time, we would certainly liked to have taken advantage of more yoga with Ginny, as she was a great teacher and had a really great knowledge of the practice.

Overall, accommodation is a big part of any travelling, and our time at Moonlight Mountain made us have an amazing holiday to Tobago. A wonderfully relaxing paradise, with a really personal service that made our trip the best it could be, we would certainly recommend it.
