s Get Extension
Beaches will open from 5am to 6pm as of Monday, January 31, 2022.
The announcement was made by Minister of Health, Terrence Deyalsingh who said he was authorised to advise of the extension by Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley.
According to Deyalsingh, the decision came after Dr Rowley met with the Chief Secretary of the Tobago House of Assembly on Sunday.
Beaches were previously opened from 6am to 2pm and 5am to 12pm previously. The initiative is part of the government phased reopenings due to the spread of COVID-19. So what better time to come to Castara and msybe stay at Carpe Diem Villa !

The beaches are now open until 6pm! Well that coincides with sunset so last swim then a ‘beastly cold’ Carib snd watch the sunset and maybe a green flash?

Re: Beaches reopening 31st Jan!
i (pre Covid) ended every day at sandy point on the "boardwalk" bit between tropikist and the beach club - a few of those cold beers after closing as the sun sets. In too many years to admit to, i can count the number of green flashes on one hand.
and yet i will continue to wait for it daily

Re: Beaches reopening 31st Jan!
From Monday 21st, beach and riverine restrictions lifted. But...:
Masks to be worn (unless in the water)
No alcohol (put that cooler back in the cupboard)
No partying (?)
No fires
which doesnt help me as i was planning to get very drunk and dance semi-naked around a big bonfire of masks
Unvaccinated children can now enter safe zones with vaccinated parents/sibs

Tobago has taken Covid-19 seriously! It is still ‘there’ but by taking simple precautions you are able to protect yourself and others around you! As vaccinations increase and infections fall our ‘normal’ life is returning and restrictions eased .
Tobago is just the same as it always was !
