Changes to Face Mask protocol

Post by Steve Wooler »

I'm delighted to let readers know that it is no longer a legal requirement to wear a mask in public places. The UK Foreign Office has just updated their traveller advise as follows:
Effective 17 July 2022 it is no longer legal requirement to wear a mask in public spaces, though the wearing of masks is still mandatory at public and private hospitals and medical facilities, including dental clinics and doctors’ surgeries. Individual businesses retain the right to decide rules on mask wearing at their establishments. You should adhere to all precautionary measures put in place by the local authorities.

As Chris observed in an earlier post - still very much in evidence despite no longer mandated. I've taken to carrying one around again and there are some places where you'll be in a very small minority if you're not wearing a face covering.
