Scooter Rentals
Hello. We are two couples in our 60's coming to Tobago for a month. We will want transportation but would be nice if each couple could have their own transportation. Renting 2 cars is more expensive than we can spend. Is there somewhere to rent scooters or 4 wheelers and, if so, is this an appropriate form of transportation? Thank you.

Re: Scooter Rentals
Not as many as in previous years.
I only know of 2 in the Crown Point area but having said that, i dont really look.
bicycle repair man ("Easy Goers" perhaps ?) towards the end of store bay local road, on the right as you reach Rovanels heading towards stumpys and a much smaller operation that seems to be based opposite the Canaan pennysavers

Re: Scooter Rentals
Thank you for your reply. I have contacted the gentleman at Easy Goers and he can help us. Is it feasible for us to drive scooters to get where we want to go? We are staying in Buccoo but will rent a car for the day when we want to go to the northern part of Tobago. Thank you.

Hi
Welcome aboard!
Yes, you will have no problem using the scooters to get from Crown Point to Buccoo. It should be a very pleasant and easy 10-minute journey. You certainly wouldn't want to ride them to the northern end of the island though. Enjoy!

As Steve said.......This is not Crete, people are NOT 'bike aware' !
Rent a car or if you want the 'wind in your hair', get a jeep, a LOT safer!

Re: Scooter Rentals
you might struggle to find a jeep if you go "on spec".
the usual fare is the suzuki jimny - even the youngest are now beyond an age where they are widely rented out.
but yes, scooter for pottering to and from amenities/beaches etc by all means but anywhere off the local roads and think about a car
