Virgin 2023

Post by PaulMakin »

anyone else reading this ? - i know the THA deliberations about the subsidies have been rumbling around for a while

"Tobago is to end its airlift contract with Virgin Atlantic early next year following a strategic review.
The carrier will stop operating its direct weekly flight from Heathrow to the Caribbean island on January 11."

Well…Virgin are still offering flights into Tobago ! They said they were stopping December 31st but apparently not!
Also BA flights later in the year will be going via St Lucia. Will BA2157 via Antigua still operate and carry on to Tobago? Recently the BA flight has been full, over 100 going onto Tobago. Long may it continue as people one again want to come to Tobago……and why not?

That must have been the one I saw on the runway! The BA flight is arriving from Antigua with an encouraging number of passengers!

I think BA are managing to increase their sales of packaged holidays, hence the upturn. Certainly seeing a lot of (what appear to be) "new" visitors in and around the Crown Point area - as opposed to returnees/familiar faces that is.

Tropikist seems to be one of the more favoured accommodations - pretty full throughout

All around me I see familiar faces in Castara ! 2 couples arrived today at Carpe Diem from Holland for their 4th stay with us! Confidence in Tobago is returning.
