ATM Upgrade Castara 17th Feb 2022

We have been advised by First Citizens Bank that the ATM in Castara will be renewed on the 17th February 2022.
When we campaigned and had the ATM renewed before , the ‘downtime’ was only for a few hours but please take this into consideration if you are in or were coming up to Castara to draw cash on that date!

“First Citizens would like to upgrade the current ATM at your location with our new Windows 10 ATM. To complete this, we would require your support and permission to access the location on Thursday 17th February 2022 to facilitate the replacement of the ATM.



The below are the key requirements to allow for the successful completion of this exercise:



Ø Collective communication that the ATM will be down on 17-Feb;

Ø Access for removal of the cash by the relevant security personnel and replenishment of same;

Ø Access to location for Vista Security Solutions to disconnect and reconnect the camera and alarm systems for the ATM;

Ø Access to location for PBS Technologies for delivery and support for the ATM;

Ø Cordoning off of the ATM location by an estimated 30-40 feet for the drop off and collection of the ATMs on 17-Feb. Our vendor, PBS Technologies will be utilising a Hiab truck (equipped with a crane) for the delivery/pick up of the ATM;”

The ATM is now fully operational !

Hello Chris, it is a long time since we last holidayed in Castara and wondered how much it has changed ? Last trip was 2009 and a bottle of Carib at Coddringtons was about £1 if I remember correctly.

Codrington Wallace bar opposite Carpe Diem is closed, temporarily we hope ) as Coddie and his wife Ann are in New York .
Beers were $12 at Cascreole bonfire last night $10 the other afternoon and Marvyn’s D’Lime.was $12.

The atm is fully functional with extra security in place! First Citizen’s Bank have kept us ( CTDA ) fully informed throughout the repairs !
Please let your card issuer know where you are going and that you will be making unusual cash withdrawals !
