Decided to take a break from packing factor 30s (don't rub it in hoho!!!) and my swimming skimpys to come on here to wish everybody the Compliments of the Season only to now find myself traumatised by the photo of Bude Boy ............what I want to know is where on the island is his Grotto and will he demand I sit on his knee before i get my present?
Have a good one everybody,

Hello all you LOVELY people,
Can't say that I've ever heard the expression "Farting Rainbows" but in Googling the term and looking at some of the links I gather that it refers to someone with perhaps a naive or "pollyanish" or unrealistic view of the real world. Sometimes it seems to be used in reference to some politicians grandiose ideas and campaign promises. Not that any of our political leaders have ever been less than totally truthful

Almost sounds like something my DW would say to me when I ask her to give me a back rub before she goes out to shovel the snow - "What..... are you farting rainbows?"
Noe, What's a rum voucher? Is it some sort of a holiday cookie or treat?
Hope all of you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy and Prosperous New Year
Bill

To All Wafflers
May your days be happy and bright - and also full of copious amounts of all you wish for. For me that means diamonds but each to their own.
Bill
My very best wishes to you and yours - have a ball ! As sterling is falling at a very alarming rate I assume our spare room could be used next year - come on over.
Gisela
Happy Christmas and all good wishes to you and Sammy. Hope to see you in March, fingers crossed.
Tony
Just be happy and have a wonderful Christmas.
Carol
Book was great, finished it yesterday - thank you. Have a good one, wish you joy and laughter. Happy Christmas my Queen - or should I say Ma'am. Your humble servant

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL YE WAFFLERS NEAR AND FAR!
Steph,
Your boys, big and small, are lovely.
This is now the 'farting rainbows' thread, to which we all have our little contributions to make.
A special thank-you to all those who have bought my little book at a time when money is becoming tight. I know it won't be a best seller but the fact that people have actually wanted to read it has brought me great pleasure.
And special thanks to Steve, who has shown immense tolerance in allowing me to continue with all this non-Tobago nonsense, and use his site in the way I have. I do feel a little silly sometimes as I've only been to Tobago once, and have no idea when I'll return.

but it's the people here on this site who keep me coming back, and one day maybe, I will see some of you in Tobago.
Every year has it's good and bad times, but I wish you all a happy, healthy and peaceful 2009.
Love
Carol-noe.
xxxxxxx
PS.
Go easy on the sprouts!
And Bill, a 'rum voucher' would be a token for free rum. What's that in Americanese? And you ARE joking about your DW shovelling up the snow, aren't you?

Noe,
It was a joke; I do know what a voucher is
Not totally a joke about Mary Lou and snow shovelling. She has done the vast majority of it by hand for the forty years we've owned a house. She likes the exercise and has always been concerned about me having a heart attack (I was way overweight up until a few years ago). Earlier this year she decided that finally it was becoming too much on days we have a heavy snowfall (our driveway is approximately 8 meters wide and 25 meters long) and asked that we buy a snowblower. I jokingly said it could be her Christmas present and she said that would be fine and if I wanted I could even put a big red bow on it for Christmas morning. Since we purchased it there have been several heavy snowfalls and she gets all excited when she can go out and play with her new toy. I'm sure that by the time winter is over the novelty will wear off but for now it's still fun.
Once again thanks to Steve for maintaining this site and allowing us to Waffle.
Bill

Total respect for Bill.
That's the way ... get them a toy to play with ... even better if the toy has practical uses and keeps them occupied ... such as clearing your drive of snow ... good thinking mate.
We need to exchange notes ... I may have some other productive ideas for you.
Have a lovely Christmas ...
Regards

Gisela,
Just how many waffling threads do you write on then?
Actually, in my perambulations and scientific investigations around the 'net I've discovered that there are a plethora of forums ( I always think that should be 'fora' ) all of which seem to have their own 'off-topic' or waffling thread in one form or another.
The writers' forum I belong to has one (obviously, but I didn't start it!) and the Lulu site has one which I've studiously ignored so far, and, ahem, there is a site for people who have a little problem.
As we're such good friends this is just between you, me and the gatepost. The little problem is-er-
snoring
Yes, there is a site for it, yes, there is a forum, and yes, it has an 'off-topic' thread! I haven't joined this forum although it does look rather fun. The rankings are based on the military system; starting as 'private snorer' and going up to 'lieutenant colonel' etc.
It seems that folk are just born to waffle...
So, I have just revealed one of my intimate secrets. How about you?
By the way, you won't find me on Facebook. Ever!
Love,
Noe ( Am I still Queen?)

Dear Noe,
you will still be Queen in 2009 and 2010 and so on

Why do you think snoring is something not royal? I guess half of the manhood do it and I have no idea if I do because I sleep alone

and Sammy doesn't complain. My ex-husband sometimes complained but I think its just because I told him that he did.
Who cares? Not me
And yes, I do some waffeling in another forum and I did some time ago in a forum of a big German newspaper but I never laugh as much as at the mytobago-waffeling.
See ya and cheers
Gisela
