Hi all of you,
Dear Noe, I don#T think you lost your charm it was just a bad day. Don't worry. Next time it will work out better.
By the way, I spent the last night at a friens house after a nice birthday party with a lot of rum punch (yes, they had been to Tobago).

Then a book caught my eyes. It was a small book from an author names Sue
Townsend. Are you related to this woman? Or is it a pseudonym? It's a diary of a teenager called 'the growing pains of Adrian Mole' from 1984.
Have to go to the European elections. See you later
Cheers
Gisela

Unfortunately I'm not related to Sue Townsend, but I wish I had some of her success! Townsend is my married name of course. I 've read one or two of the Adrian Mole books. Very funny!

Hello Tony and others,
Here's a link to some pictures of the music festivals on the Isle of Wight in 69 & 70.

If I remember correctly from some old posts in the Waffle you and Janet attended. Was anybody else there?

Hello Bill and other wafflers.
I was at both festivals in 69 and 70 and have to say I remember a lot more about the latter one, we spent the whole weekend with a bunch of guys from Canada and used a giant Maple Leaf as a blanket and tablecloth.
We were also joined by a group of US draft dodgers who found it easier to pretend they were also from Canada.
Highlights for me were seeing Jimi Hendrix last performance and Ten Years After and the lovely Melanie who to this day remains my favourite female singer.
Thanks Bill you gave me a great chance to reminisce.
Regards
Paul

Thanks Bill & Hi Paul. Good pics and happy memories. I travelled to the 1970 festival in the back of a van with a couple of Pink Fairies. Had a job there - sitting in the sun and periodically spraying the toilet seats with a hose. Really hard work. For that my friend and I got free food, access to all areas and even wages (though we, along with a bunch of other disguntled employees had to almost overturn the caravan containing two scared guys and a cash box to get our money).
Happy Daze

I know we're having our summer this week and it's rather warm and humid, but I promise you that I'm using a good anti-perspirant, so no need for anyyone to be keeping any distance.
Where are you Carol? Where's that man Watkins? Have I woken in the middle of a bad dream?

Hi Steve, David and Peter,
it's just the heat.

And maybe some of the normal writers ar on holidays?
Its quiet everywhere on the net, not only in the mytobago-forum. Wait until the weather gets worse and you will have your posting.
Gisela with 30°C and around 100 % humidity in Bonn

Did I hear My Master's Voice?
Sorry I haven't been around much lately. I've been up to my bloodshot little eyeballs in all kinds of matters, and I've been a little discombobulated lately as well. I cannot of course, say whether young Watkins has been discombobulated, but there's been no news coming out of Kernow so I assume you're okay, my little Cornish tennis -hating stirrer-upper? I hate tennis.
Boy it's hot! I'm spending my evenings in the garden on my newly-acquired, painfully slow, second-hand laptop, working on Book Two, which aint about Tobago I'm afraid.
Anyway, on 13th July a momentous event will take place.
After discussing it for 3 years we are having the bathroom ripped out and re-furbished. Watch this space... Can my nerves take the strain?
Good to see you, especially you Gisela my friend.
See ya!
Happy 4th July Young Bill!
Love
Noe xxx

Hi Carol
Good to hear from you and glad to hear you're keeping busy. It's blowing a bit of a gale here in Suffolk. Musn't complain, but its bringing welcome relief from the humidity of the past week.

Morning all
Its good to see all of you are still around, you have probably been sitting in the shade somewhere keeping cool.
As we have had a lot of work done on the house I know what Carol will be going through although our bathroom refurb was done while we were in Tobago earlier in the year, I think with Carol I can feel a story coming on.
We have had to change our plans for our next visit to Castara and will probably not now be able to go until late 2012 as our son has decided to get married in Sri Lanka (my second favourite place) and the following year Leita and I are celebrating the big 60 and have promised to take all of the family away.
We will be able to see the view of paradise as Ancle at Naturalist has had a webcam installed which has views of the main beach and I will have to make do with that for a while, its available at
http://www.troyster.com/ but as with a lot of things in Tobago it may not be available all of the time.
Regards to all
Paul

Hi people
Good to know everyone is fine - simply busy. It's the time of year I think, living in the UK means any good weather seems to be full of social events - we've been out more in the last month than the previous four. At my age this causes problems - head is still 18, body is not, how I suffer !!!
Off to Hampton Court Flower Show tomorrow having just returned from a music festival in the depths of Hampshire. Life is just grand don't you think ?
Love to you all

Hello Sandra
I am here in the UK, working hard to finance my next visit ... probably February 2010.
I haven't got a clue what the weather will be doing in October but so far it has been a very quiet Hurricane Season.
Meanwhile I am spending the days salivating over the webcam that has been set up in Castara (Paul meantions it above).
