Dear Pete
Thanks for prompt reply even if no help whatsoever ! Think we'll book anyway - the webcam is just too much motivation .Hopefully we can buy you a beer in February which was our next planned trip. Cheers !

That would be 'noice'.
But don't get too excited, they may not let me back after all the mischieviousness and trouble I caused during my last visit

Greetings from tropical Chicago
Actual dates in Castara will be 2/28/10 thru 3/05 and then at Sandy Point Resort in Crown Point thru 3/12.
Sandra, just because David says that you should hit a few together it in no way implies that he's buying
Have a vacation coming up, on 7/24, to Virginia for a week which is pretty much occupying our thoughts now. Once we return we'll start to really get into the Limin' mode for Tobago
Bill

Sandra,
Day one has passed reasonably well, but am taking notes...
Old suite was put on the front drive yesterday; today, bath and handbasin have GORN! Steptoe lives! With any luck we won't need to hire a skip..

Put out an old washing machine with a "FREE" sign on it and it sat for several days. Changed the sign to "FOR SALE - $25" and when I looked the next morning someone had stolen it
Only kidding, but we are amazed at what disappears from the trash before the refuse hauler arrives. On garbage pick-up days there is a steady stream of old beat-up trucks, piled precariously high with scrap, patrolling the neighborhood. It's for the good though as people who may be 'un' or 'under' employed are earning money from the salvage yards and items are being recycled rather than ending up in a landfill.
Sandra, perhaps someday when my DW can't take any more of me I'll wind up on your doorstep
Bill

Bill
DW is also welcome !!
Dear Pete
Get your act together, this is an order not a request !
David and Tony
So, you guys up for it too - or not. Think we would have a ball, if we don't get along exit clause is in the contract so fear not.
Carol
Day 3 is looming - believe me, dust will happen.

Sandra, sounds good to me. Of course I will have to get agreement from my lady wife and we will also be accompanied by Paul (another one) our good friend and best man from our 2007 Castara wedding. We could all come down together a la mini-bus. Just a suggestion. Maybe David and Paul would prefer to have our get together in Castara. Anyway, plenty of time to sort it.
Sis, we need you to be there. Don't tell anyone but Virgin flights have come down from £556 to £462 if you fly out on 28 Jan and return 11 Feb. You have responsibilities to your long time loyal subjects. Do the right thing!
T.

Oops! Sorry, but I just checked Virgin's website and the flight prices are back up to £556. How strange is that? Last week we bought three tickets for £462 each. Actually it was less than that 'cos we had some Virgin airmiles (or whatever they are called) to use up.
This doesn't alter the fact that we need your presence in Tobago in 2010. Think of all the new material you will get for the second Tobago book. Think of the sea, the sunburn and the noseeums.
Keep checking those flight prices.

Carol,
Tony is absolutely right - do try and get there. I know, I know , new bathroom, off to NZ , no money left. Do convince OH , be great to meet you and yours. How's the dust ?
Tony
Quite happy to spend an evening in Castara, as you say, ages yet - no reason why we couldn't do both.
David
Are you there ? Expect to see you too - OH makes a mean rum punch and you are more than welcome.

Dust, dust and more dust. Our bathroom is a shell containing nothing but the new toilet. We are having to be extra nice to the neighbours so that we can use their shower.
All going smoothly so far but the builders think we own a tea plantation...
Old toilet is out on the drive but no-one seems to want it. Most odd.
Bill, I love your story about the washing machine. Although you were only joking I wouldn't be a bit surprised if putting a price on it would encourage someone to take it! Well, if these things can be put to good use and help someone make a living..
