Carol
Surely you can't still be in the bath !!
How go the NZ plans ? Not long before you leave I imagine.
Dear Pete
Hope your dates for February are now sorted, if not, move your butt.
Bill
How you doin'? Update required please.
Tony
Imagine the IOW is glorious today as it's hot and sunnny across the Solent. Bank Holiday so at home in the garden - impossible to get anywhere on the A27.

Checking in from Siberia,
Mostly been trying to stay warm the last few weeks. We've had high temps around 19c recently which would be more typical for late Sept. or early Oct. Should be more around 26c this time of year. It's been one of the coldest and wettest summers in Chicago in the last 140 years; must be due to the "global warming"
Nothing much new here, just trying to enjoy what we can of summer, doing yard work and spending weekends at our cottage. Haven't even gotten in much boating because we seem to have settled into a pattern of midweek being not too bad and weekends turning lousy. Of course we can sit around with our friends and

and laugh and still have a good time.

Strewth! Are we really on page 89?
Not too long before we hit the 100 mark, then I hope a prize will be on offer, or at least a fanfare and some bells and whistles. AND this thread is nearly two years old! Blimey!
I'm so sorry that I've been neglecting you all of late, but I have been busy and not had much to say. It happens to the best wafflers too you know!
Actually, I can explain the busy-ness. I've published my second book: "Who Stole Nan's Knickers?" Before you rush for your credit cards, it's only fair to warn you that the postal charges on Lulu are SHAMEFUL! I must also tell you that some of you will be familiar with some of the anecdotes therein, but some are new, and I've even tried a little fiction, well, I've fictionalised one anecdote slightly, but I'm not telling you which one.
Anyway, 'tis here:
http://stores.lulu.com/store.php?fAcctID=3213879
Where did the summer go? I don't know, but turn your back for a moment and it's sneaked away, sniggering.
I don't spend all my spare time in the new bathroom, but oo, I'm that pleased with it! Makes the rest of the house look shabby though.
How are you all?
Are you still subversive Pete/Paul?
Still chefing David?
How's the new job Bruv?
Sandra, how are "tings" with you? Any moves to some exotic location on the cards?
Steph, how's the little man? He must be, what, 17 months old now?
And dear Bill, you must be counting the months till your next visit now, if not yet the weeks.
Gisela, how are you young lady? How's Sammy?
I hope I've not left out any regulars, if I have, blame it on my advancing age.
And Steve, still doing sterling work keeping this site going I see.
I've been looking over some Tobago videos today.
Sigh. But never mind, NZ coming up.
Must keep a diary while I'm there..
See ya again!
Love
Noe

Hi to all the lovely people,
just had the feeling to take a short look into the forum and think it was the right time.
We had a nice summer with amazing temperatures most of the time and my internet at home is broken since a while. I was not able to fix it yet and on my job there's not enough time to waffle.
Carol, Sammy didn't make it. He went to cat's heaven mid of September. He had bood cancer and got only 6 years old. I'm very sorry for him but made him the last weeks a little paradise as far as possible.
Have to tell you about "Flöckchen" when I find the time.
Big hug to all of you and pretty holidays to all who have the opportunity to go to Tobago now! Try to make it next year around May/June.
Love
Gisela

Gisela,
Sorry to hear about Sammy. I'm sure that the time he spent with you was fabulous, and the quality of his life with you made up for the quantity.
Lisa.

Good to hear from you all, well most of you...hope young David's okay?
Gisela, I'm so sorry about Sammy. I can only echo what Lisa said. You knew he was poorly when you first had him, didn't you? It was very kind indeed to take him in and give him a good life during his final months.
Love,
Noe

Dear David,
I'm very sorry to hear about your health problems. The only way to recover is to go to Tobago (I know what I'm talking about). Hope you can make it soon and get back all your strength as soon as possible. But don't overdue it. Take you time and a little less rum and hopefully you will be back on track soon.
Cheers
Gisela

I'm so glad that you've been able to come on here David.
So the medics are allowing you to travel? That's very reassuring.
All good wishes for your speedy return to your normal rude health. Take good care of yourself won't you?
Lots of love,
Noe

Hi all,
thanks to Noe and Lisa for the nice words. I knew that Sammy had to die for about a month and could prepare a little bit. And I didn't had time to suffer because another poor little thing was waiting for me to take care. Floeckchen (that means Little Flake or Snowflake) is suffering because she was trapped in a window when she was young and has some problems with her hind legs. She can walk and climb but not jump properly. But it doesn't look like she feels handicaped.
I will try to put a pic here.
Big hug to you all, especially to David
Gisela
