Hi Tobagophiles,
all the best to all people in Tobago (citizens and visitors). You don't know how much I envy you.
CONGRATULATIONS

to Noe for page 100 of the waffle tread!
I'm sitting in a clinik in the middle of nowhere with only snow around me for a four week treatment to make me fit again for work

missing my cats

and hoping that time will go fast. Two weeks are already gone. Only two weeks left and counting the days like you count for going to Togabo.
All the best

Hi Gisela,

I am wishing that the time goes quickly for you and that you will be feeling much better when you go home.I still have snow around at home but it seems to be melting today for the first time. I finished 4 nights at work on Sunday morning which was a bit stressfull because I worried about not being able to get home or back to work all the time.
Your pussy cats will be fine with thier tempory tin opener but they will probably do thier best to make you feel guilty when you get home again(after they accepted lots of cuddles of course) Its these funny little ways that make cats so fascinating. Sadly I now have no cats. My last old lady was put to sleep two weeks ago at the age of 19 and I think I have seen her a couple of times already but I know that is just because I expect her still to be here.So now I have become a roosting place for the two Cockatiels whenever I sit down.

They like the freedom of thier cage being open all the time. Before they could only come out when the cat was out.Yesterday they both had thier claws cut. They don't like it and have to be wrapped in a soft cloth so that I dont get bitten. Also I get a bit scared in case anything goes wrong because the birds belong to my son and I am looking after them for him.I have had them for more than a year now so I am quite confident handling them but cutting claws still scares me
I hope you have a good day. Take care.
Gill xx
We have done a lot of waffling havn't we. It's great

congrats to all of us

Hi Gill,
thank you for your good whishes. I probably will be more fit when I go home.
Sorry to hear that your cat died. But 19 years are a very good age. On the other side you have lost someone who was with you for a long long time. But you still have the two Cockatiels from your son to carr for. What are Cockatiels? Birds? I have no idea.
I could see and hear my white cat 'Murphy' for weeks after it died. I know exactly what you mean.
Nightshift is hard work!
Here it is still snowing. Not much but the whole day and with -5°C no chance for melting.
I don't know how the cats will react when I come home. I don't have them that long that I could make any experiences. My former cats ignored me for days when I went on holidays. One piied in my bag and sxxx on my bed the first night, then it was OK

Hope this time they are just happy to see me...
All the best

There is always hope with a smile ... but I am beginning to tire of collecting reindeer droppings from my roof and garden every year ... re-sealing my chimney ... getting woken up by lonely old men singing 'Ho Ho Ho' in the middle of the night ... finding gift wrapped items in my living room that surely belong to someone else ... excited children and, finally, being forced against my will to stuff a huge bird and watch it cook in my oven for 4 hours.
As soon as a stop is put to all these things then I am sure progress can be made
Regards
I know I'm a tad out of date here, but Mr Tallet/ Scrooge sir, you are forced to stuff a huge bird every year? How do you think said huge bird feels then? As for the reindeer droppings, they make excellent fertiliser you know.. and chimney sealant...
Anyway, one hundred pages eh? Who would have thought it?
Gisela, I hope you will soon be fighting fit, and the cats forgive you for staying away!
Gill, I'm fed-up with the snow.
I've lost track. Who's in Tobago at present, and who aint? I see you're there young David, and hope you're in the
rudest of rude health.
What are you all up to? I'm supposed to be telling you all about New Zealand, but I'm still sorting out my photos and hand-written notes. Hey ho.
Hey, Nurse Gill, do you know a good remedy for indigestion? It's gone midnight and I just can't sleep. ( Burp, beg pardon) I think there were too many onions in my liver and bacon casserole...
Oh I'm so glad that Christmas and New Year are but distant memories, until next year...
Shall I make a New Year Resolution to stop neglecting you all and waffle more?

Hope you are feeling much better.
Cats always give us a hard time when neglected - absolute bu--ers !
Gill
So sorry you have lost yet another cat but 19 is a good age for a mog so hope you are not too sad. My old boy is hibernating, since the snow hit he has decided sleeping 23 hrs a day the best plan. Leaves the sofa to eat and a two minute dash to the garden !!
Not so long to May sure you are counting the days already.
Carol
Me too - fed up with the snow I mean. Very pretty at first but our road is a skating rink and as I am an accident waiting to happen can't quite believe all limbs still intact. OH is constantly mailing to ask if I am OK - had more than one holiday with me in plaster ! Hopefully I can remain upright for another 3 weeks.
Do keep waffling - can't do without you my dear.
Pete
I'm not keeping up I know but are you going to be there in February ?

Sandra, are you still in the UK or have you already gone? Meant to reply to you sooner but had such a pile of work to do before going off for two weeks that I am behind with everything. Totally disorganised at the moment. Neighbours cat has now made a nest in my suitcase - don't know if she is trying to stop us leaving or is hoping to stow away. In Castara you could try calling us on 07851 434 740. We are arriving on Thurs 28th. Sorry 'bout my disorganisation.
Tony.

Thanks for the message. Tried to mail you but for some reason it failed and far too lazy to find out why ! Hope you guys are having a ball. As weather in the UK is grim have decided to stay another week, realise you are busy but if in the area you are more than welcome.

Working hard but having a wonderful time, thanks - and such a blessing to be away from the awful weather back home. Missing our doggies though.
Anyway, we're up in Castara and won't be back down your way until the 24th February. When do you leave?
