Hi David

Don't let me forget!

By the Way - I'm thinking that anyone who has made a recent contribution to myTobago should automatically be entered into the draw, as they will have made their donation as a gesture of good will and without any inducement. Anyone object to that idea?

Keep those pledges coming!

Regards
Steve

Thank you :D

This means a lot to me and would mean the world to Andrew.

How fantastic, and what an honour!

Best of luck for the project.

Rachel

Great idea Steve. Count me in.

I'm sure Ruby and Lou would donate a meal for two for the raffle ....... with a helping of the chocolate cake thrown in! We are in regular contact with them so would you like me to ask?

Best wishes,

Bob.

Hi Bob

One of the biggest problems we've got is that I don't have email addresses for contact with the owners of restaurants. So, if you have Ruby's address (she did give it to me once, but because there seems no purpose in listing them in the Restaurants section, I seem to have lost it) please let me have it - or ask her to contact me.

This applies to other restaurants. If anybody knows the email addresses for any of the 'good' restaurants, please let me know or ask them to contact me. Thanks.

Bob

Thanks for mentioning Ru-b-lou's
We're really cooking now!
(expect more appauling puns as this progresses).

If you can let Steve have the email details by using the contact option at the bottom of the page, rather than posting it here on the forum - I'll follow it up and approach Ruby & Lou.

If you prefer to run the idea past them first, then that would be great.

Cheers
Steve

Me again -

Our first offer of a business donation has come from our good friends at ALIBABA TOURS.

Steph and Brian (Alibaba) have put up a prize of an off-road safari for 2 - 4 people; so we're now on track for the raffle to really get going.

We'll put the package together and let you know what the full details are when we launch the raffle.

In the mean time keep those ideas and donations coming!

A good raffle prize for me would be a day's fishing with someone who knows what he's doing.........how about Steve Pitts for example; plucking out a name at random! I accept that it may have to be in the U.K.!! One way or the other it's a great scheme. Best wishes, Neil Roberts.

No Way, Neil. If we're going to arrange prizes, we want them to be from reputable sources.

Ouch!

Just as well I'm thick skinned Steve.

Oddly enough Neil, I had thought of offering offering my services as a guide as a booby prize.
The winner gets to go fishing with me once - the looser goes twice!

I'm up for it if you think that it will encourage folks to participate.
The main problem would be coinciding our visits to Tobago at the same time.

I'll have a chat with a few contacts to see if a fishing trip can be landed as a prize. Just need to use the right bait.

Cheers
Steve

Hi Steve,

Fantastic photos, particularly of my new house (which I'm yet to see in person). I've shown my appreciation the good old Sottish way!('')

Well, Henry, fingers raised in that manner mean different things in different parts of the world, so I've switched nationality so that I don't take offence.

Only joshing of course! Thanks, your donation is VERY much appreciated and will go to our fighting fund.

This posting has now had nearly 2,000 hits and the concept of a myTobago fund-raiser is beginning to take shape.

Steve and I are working out the best ways to approach this - like how long to run over and of course sorting out suitable prizes and donations from businesses, which is all time consuming stuff.

We'll now separate from the aerial photo comments and move further postings of the raffle proposals, rules and updates to a new forum page 'myTobago raffle' so please follow the progress and make all future postings on the raffle from there.
All postings re. aerial photos to remain on this thread please.

Cheers
Steve

Hi Steve,

No offence taken, but you would have thought that after all that time in Tobago your jokes would be a little funnier . (That's called picong, a form of ribbing popular in Tobago). Steve, I tried posting to the Raffel thread but I could not get access??!!
