Hmmm! There's no answer to that David.
Without meaning to be a 'salesman', I can only say that given the small amount of tickets now being issued on a daily basis, and given that each month from here on will have 3 prize winner, the chances of winning are now actually VERY much higher than they were on that first month when everyone jumped in.

Dear All,
Unlike the prize guarantee scratch cards with a £1.50 per min phone call, with this competition you actually win......and I just won
I do not wish to gloat at my fortune, it is so rare to win anything, but I am absolutely chuffed to bits. Thank you Steve. Thank you and bless you Rachel.
What is so wonderful about this competition is that hopefully the best tourist website stays for all to access. It means by winning I am guaranteed to go back to the wonderful Island. It also means that I will be able to support again and renew ties with the local businesses and friends, who have supported Steve throughout. Brilliant.
I read, I paid, I won. Anyone who reads this please donate to help Steve and this site, you might be the next winner.
Good luck to everyone, who donates.
Remember we are all winners if this great site survives.

Four days after the winners of the August competition were announced, I'm delighted to say that the first four winners have chosen their very worthwhile prizes.
Andrew W has chosen the Island Girl sailing tour. Readers may remember that the prize was a originally for a party of four. Andrew is travelling with his partner, but rather than invite some fellow guests along, he has kindly suggested that we throw the other two places back into the prize pot. Scott and Heidi Clarke of Natural Mystic/Island Girl has kindly agreed, so the prize has been changed from 1 prize for 4 people, to 2 prizes for 2 people, with one prize now fully allocated.
Thank you Andrew and Scott and Heidi. It gives me faith in human nature when readers act in the true spirit of myTobago.

OK, all prizes for the August competition have now been claimed. Travel and sailing dominated the prizes selected.
Six days into the new month, I have to say that were we to have the prize draw today, 50% of the entrants would be winners. I guess/hope that readers are simply waiting to see what prizes are left before dipping their toes into the water. Anyway, the list of available prizes is now definite, so come on folks, support the site and grab the chance for one or more of all these fantastic prizes still available.
I should just mention that winners of the August competition are still perfectly entitled to enter in future months.
Good luck!

Thanks James
Well - there's just one day left in the March competition. Its been a very slack month with readership very low. To be honest, the total rewrite of the site, which resulted in all pages names and the entire structure changing, have just caught up with us over recent months and our ranking in the search engines has been decimated as a result. This is to be expected and we should be through the tunnel soon. However, it means that we have been attracting the 'new' readers that we normally would during the summer months.
This has had an obvious effect on donations. Not to worry. With just 59 tickets sold in the September competition, the chances of winning one of those 3 exciting prizes that Rachel will draw on Saturday are obviously statistically very high. So, come on folks, support a good cause whilst having a REAL chance of winning an exciting day or evening out on your next trip to Tobago.

Call it a 'senior moment' Paul.
Mind you, it is really frightening the way that time is passing.

I'm glad you said "Great minds" Steve - rather than "Fools seldom differ"!
But - if you don't mind - this is my day off for this week! No lunchtime shirking for me!

Hi Folks
Rachel Harries-Darke has obviously just been busy on her keyboard, because I've just received notification of the three lucky winners of our September competition. They are:
1st - Jill M
2nd - Steve Pitts
3rd - James Blackshaw
Lucky old James! He's won prizes two month's running. Its also great to see our Fishing Guru Steve Pitts in the list.
May I please stress that Rachel has absolutely no knowledge of who the tickets belong to when she initiates the prize draw. In fact she doesn't even choose them herself, she simply initiates a program that selects all correct entries for the month, sorts them into random order three times, then picks the requisite number of winners, again on a random basis. Only then does the program present the name of the winners - and by that time an automated email is already on its way to the winners, a notification to myself and in that same second, the list of winners is available on the Competition Winners page.
Just as a matter of interest, we issued 69 tickets for the month of September. So, a £15 donation stood a 4.3% chance of winning a prize. Better odds than the lottery, me thinks!
Prize availability will be automatically updated as soon as the prize winners notify me of their choice.

Congratlations to Jill, Steve and James! As a former winner

I can tell you that you will enjoy your next holidays much more than you ever did.
Again my thanks to Steve and Rachel and especially to Camella and her friendly suff at Shermans Rental who made it possible for me and my friends to use the car I won and that they made it possible I could get a Jeep (what is quite necessary on this kind of streets).
I will make my donation very month it this keeps this site alive.
Best wishes from cold and ugly Germany
Cheers

Steve, how about a bulletin on how many "tickets" have been sold?It may boost the donations alittle to remind people to BUY!!
David (getting closer)
(Have you finalised your itinerary yet Steve? I hope we can meet up this time instead of just missing)D

Hi David
Well, so far this month the system has issued a paltry 16 tickets, so your chance of winning is HIGH, HIGH, HIGH!
My itinerary is not totally finalised yet, but my flights are outbound on 2nd February and back on 23 March. Yes, lets hope we meet up at last.
