Hi All
Just made contact with Sandra and was thrilled to know that Carib is now safely home and getting on well. It was a pleasure to be involved and I agree entirely with what was written above, that Mrs Phillips is a saint. She sadly lost her husband recently, who had also been very much involved with the TSPCA.
It is of course great news that Tobago is now part of the Pets Passports scheme. Any rescue dogs can be kept in Tobago by the TSPCA at much less expense than in quarantine in England. They get tender loving care from the shelter, who in turn receive much needed funds to help them survive.
Big thank you as always to you Steve (sorry been absent for a while) for helping with Carib and for your support of the TSPCA.
I can only add to all who read this, that the two little dogs we rescued are our pride and joy and the most loving, loyal and happy pets you could ever wish for.
Anyone who thinks about rescuing a dog from Tobago.....go for it you will not regret it!
regards to all
James

Hi Sandra
We were at Rex Turtle when you were out there - we have 2 girls who also fell in love with Carib - you may remember us! We often thought about Carib on our return home and wondered if you did indeed manage to get him to UK. So pleased to hear you were successful.
We're going back to Rex Turtle end of May again this year so will re-live the memories. One funny thing I remember... our youngest daughter had left her flip-flops outside our room and one disappeared over-night. We searched everywhere for it. We did suspect Carib but had no evidence! However about 2 days before we were due to leave who should appear bringing us the flip-flop in his mouth (slightly chewed)?! You guessed it your little furry friend!
Best wishes to you all, especially Carib, hope he didn't find the winter here in UK too cold!

Hi Gary, Alison and girls
Yes I do remember you as we spoke on the forum before you went to the Rex for the first time last year.
I think you had named Carib " Archie " and us " The puppy snatcher's " as you had seen us take him away from the hotel but didn't know why !!!
You are sooooo lucky to be going back again and I hope that you have a great time. Not long to go now.
We are going to Kenya in August this year. How much do you think it would cost to quarantine an elephant ? ! !
Anyway lovely to hear from you , sorry about the flip-flop ! Have a fab holiday.

Hi Sandra. We've just returned from Rex Turtle Beach - had a great 2 weeks. There were 2 young boy dogs at the hotel (approx 1 year old) - very well fed and in good condition. They would appear each morning when Gary went jogging along the beach - playing alongside him. Then managed to find our room just after breakfast for their bacon and sausages! They look very much as I would imagine Carib is now so may infact be related. W've got some photos of them so if you'd like us to send them to you please let me have your e-mail address.
Hope you Safari trip went well.
Very best wishes, Ali, Gary, Elysia & Millie
