Am not sure how to broach this other than to ask ! Ken has been giving me so much grief since we came home. So, here goes - when we met up Ken paid the bill but was worried that you guys may also have paid. Can't rest until we know .

Good to hear from you. We settled up at the Boat House on our last day we were there and didn't ask for an itemized bill. Afterwards,in going through it in my mind, it seemed like we hadn't been charged as much as I thought it should have been Now I know why, and you can put Ken's mind at ease It was good meeting the two of you; thank you for your generosity.

Have had a lot of things going on here at home since our return and haven't had the time to post nor even read the forum that often. We had a good time on our trip and enjoyed staying at Seabreeze with Steph & Brian and at The Sandy Point Beach Club in Crown Point.

Thanks for that ! Did not need thanks but we hate being ripped off no matter where in the world we may be. Sure you both noticed our server was , shall we say, a little under the weather . Apologies for being so blatant but hopefully you and Mary Lou will forgive the "need to know " !!

How can I put this delicately? Our server was a very pleasant young woman, but as you noticed she seemed to be feeling the effects of some substance, which I felt was more than mere drink. This condition seemed to last the entire time we were in Castara. There, I think that works

just to clarify something. I know the girls well that work at the boathouse on ocasion and I do know that they like to party, but they are NEVER drunk or under the influence of anything on the job (sharon would do some killing if they would). I am pretty sure that it was faye who served you who has a condition of shaky hands and always appears a bit nervous to say the least, but so far it never affected her work and she did bar work in england already, too... maybe you did not clarify that you wnated to pay seperately? just wondering since the money business has never been a problem at the boathouse as far as I know... they rather charge you a beer to little than too much if in doubt.
now you have a reason to meet back up again and even the bill between you

everything normal here. Hustling back and forth between Trinidad and Tobago these days.
I will be in Tobago from Friday 1pm, hopefully sell my old car there on Monday, meet a customer on
Tuesday, go back to Trini after and fly out to Europe on Thursday.
I envy you all when you are in Tobago you can just... LIME

Seems quite likely that I will be in Tobago again next May. Colin usually books at the same time. I fly on the twelfth for three weeks and am taking a friend from work this time. She is only staying for a week which I am sure she will regret but if she likes it she will come again next year too.Another colleage also wants to come next time.
I was surprised that you will be going next year though.Didnt I read that you did not expect to be returning to Tobago for some time?. Be great to meet up again though . Got some family coming at the weekend but will try to catch up on the phone next week

sorry for being so quiet but there's not much to tell and I don't want to bore you. I guess if I had the chance to go to Tobago this year I would have more to add. I also still have no proper internet connection and that makes it more difficult. Hopefully next week but you never know...

Not much exciting going on over here. Spring has finally sprung and we've been doing a lot of yard work. We've opened up our summer cottage so have been spending weekends there.

Steph, I apologize if I offended the young woman who served us while we were in Castara. She was quite pleasant and did a good job. Mary Lou and I both commented several times to each other that she appeared to be under some sort of 'influence'. We obviously misinterpreted her behaviour and appearance.
