Paul, purely on the weather side,it actually feels different today.I don't know how to describe--fresher perhaps?
So,could this be the start of the dry season--on time this year?

David,

Perhaps it seemed like the sky was ablaze with so many stars because you were seeing double  I'm glad that you're enjoying yourself and I really look forward to your "on site" posts, but please try not to rub it in too much 8-[

34 days and counting.

Another glorious day ahead by the looks of it.The sea is quite calm.
Yesterday was perfect,at the hottest part of the day the sky partially clouded for an hour or so but no rain.
All for now,regards from paradise,

Thanks for the updates David.

The satellite pictures are very clear and the nasty stuff to the south only seems to be affecting areas well to the west.

Greetings from Castara in the sun!Well yesterday turned out to be near perfect, the sky cleared beautifully just after midday, the evening was the perfect liming night with just a gentle cooling breeze(I'm told they call it the Christmas whistle-'cos it always appears around this time).
Todayi s of to a good start maybe 40% cloud, the seai s farely calm soitlooks like another good day ahead.
Regards to all in the frozen North, ,

David,

Actually the "north" here in the Chicago area is not frozen. Temperatures have been running around 50F (10C) the last few days, whereas normal for this time of year should be right at the freezing level. The sun is shining and all the snow from two weeks ago is melted. 8) Obviously not as nice as Tobago but I won't complain as it could be a whole lot worse.

Thanks for being gentle with your reports. I guess my threat must have done some good

Hi Oh lucky one
I enjoyed the golden isles interpretation of a Christmas Whistle. This very night "Her" indoors who must always be obeyed, has ordered that I put on my best bib and tucker to act as her Hostess at the office Christmas Party. The reward for a little hand-shaking and greeting, is to whet my Whistle and -if as in the past- it will be with un-ending supplies of ice-cold Champers. However this course of action generally indicates that by the morning there will be a few thunder claps and a passing cold front.
Thanks for your informative reports may you continue to wax lyrical.
I wish you the very best for the festive season and a healthy and happy 2007.

Hello from an absoluteley wonderful Castara.
Yesterday at about 3pm the skies emptied and never really cleared until about 9pm.After the initial 5 minute deluge subsequent showers were light and/or drizzly.
Today there is very little cloud,a few whispy high clouds and the usual fluffy ones off the forest.
Got in some serious practice yesterday pm so much so I was the last to leave the Boathouse
Slightly hungover,David :D 8)
