The old white rasta of Ryde
From the coppers he tried to hide.
They came to his house one day
Following a tip off they say,
"But it's purple sprouting broccoli!" he cried.

Sorry. Not very good at poetry and limericks. but I just loved the idea of "the old white rasta of Ryde."....
Bruv,
I can't believe you actually did some investigations into dreadlocks! You're as sad as me! I looked at the site as instructed, and I must say it looks like too much fiddling about and hard work to me, unless you use the "neglect" method....although having been out in the wind I'm half way there.

David,
On a more serious note; well done in your quiz. Helping children's hospices is a cause dear to my heart. Some of the children I work with spend time in one. They offer support to families and give parents a much-needed break. Without donations they would not exist.

Cheers
Noe
I'm off to buy some "Dreadhead Supa Dupa Dread Kit".
Wish the wind would stop rattling my door knocker; I'm fed up with going to the door and finding no-one there.

Nosey Noe,

You are so clever !!

I never look at the index page - I just go straight my favourites and then to 'View New Posts' - I think it is an automatic response as soon as my laptop is turned on

David,

Gan (Equator Village) was one of the options for us. I liked the idea of going south of the equator, but didn't like the sound of the hotel being part of the old barracks. So we chose an island closer to the airport and managed to get three weeks for the price of two!!!

It has been said that a holiday in Gan is a different type of Maldivian holiday - not just the normal beach/diving/luxury as it is still a 'local' inhabited island. There have been some good reports and some bad. I first heard about the RAF base from a guy on our first trip to the Maldives who was staying on the same island as us - that wasn't you was it??????? (Damn, I didn't get a photo!) He had been there for some time and was quite high up - can't remember his rank, I think he was there when it closed and was moved to somewhere in India. I was just fascinated by the fact that the RAF had a base is such a beautiful part of the world. But from the sound of it, this is far from reality

Hmmmm,
So, you're a bit of a James Bond type then are you David. 8)
I remember from checking an earlier post ( my long-term memory is getting better  ) that you were a weapons inspector at one time.
Maybe we'd better treat you with some respect from now on. It's enough to make your hair stand on end. :-"
And if it wasn't for me no-one would have known it was your birthday.Hah!
Have a good day.
Love Noe

Noe I wasn't,just forgot to log out and what hair are we talking about. Those select few who have had the dubious honour of meeting me will ascertain that I am hardly hirsute. In fact I recall that certain young ladies(SW&JG) were rather fascinated with my legs, going so far as to say I had shaved them or used Immac(whatever that is)!!!
Baldly going forth,David  :D
PS.had a good night last night, seafood chowder, duck breast, red wine and when I got home,a night cap of.....yup White Oak and Somerfield fruit punch

"Somerfield fruit punch?" I thought you'd have something a tad more up market with your rum, like Waitrose! I tried putting a drop (of Old Oak Gold) in hot chocolate; very nice too!
Glad you enjoyed your evening.
As for the legs, I thought they looked rather shiny in that photo. Which do you prefer? Shaving, Immac, Nair, waxing or epilating (ouch)?
Immac and Nair are toxic creams that dissolve hair (and enamel baths)...
Bye
Noe
