To Steph
How wonderful ! Good luck to you both.
Bill and Tony
Come on guys, yes, I like my wallls straight,my pictures straight,my men straight but there does come a point where I tend to veer towards a little chaos. He Who Must Be Obeyed insists on total order everywhere, a plant billowing on to a path has to be cut back, the fridge contents are streamlined. Now this would be fine apart from the fact he never cooks a thing and wouldn't know a tree from a flower -see where I'm going with this ?

Sandra and Tony,
It's the primeval hunting instinct. When there's a group of you armed with spears, hoping to ambush a deer, you need to make sure everyone is arranged in the best possible position so the deer can't escape.
It's also the male need to dominate and be in control.

Steph and Brian - Congratulations, all the best to you both and baby Baba.
Tony and all other obsessive compulsive males - do you give lessons, Hubby seems to not possess that gene

, but would welcome some coaching for him - starting with how he can transfer a pile of ironed clothes to his drawers!
Noe, loved the tale of The Night Riviera, i would have been expecting an Agatha Christie style murder throughout the journey!
Gisela, Not sure if you are on your way yet (and frankly am too lazy to read through posts and check you departure dates), I know that you arriva just before me, so don't drink all the Carib and I will keep an eye out for you!
Only two more sleeps till Tobago, and one doesn't really count as I have to wake at stupid o'clock to drive to Gatwick.

Dear Sandra, Linda and Anon,
Please don't try to drag us poor men into some type of an argument that we are ill-equipped to win. We may do all right with spears and such but when it comes to words women will annihilate us.
Linda and Shorty,
Hope you both have a good time.
Steph & Ali,
Congrats on your expected addition.
Bill

Primeval instincts, hunting with spears, attacking defenceless Bambi - what is this thread coming to??

I'm trying to find out if the rabbits were retrieved by men on horseback, will keep you posted.
Please don't have nightmares.
Kevin.

KEVIN!
Looking at that picture I think you have a touch of Peter-itis!
Oh and I tried your number, but I think you must have mis-typed as the phone robot didn't recognise it. If you care to try again I know someone who can oblige. She lives in the sea and sits on rocks and sings.
Glad I lured you to this thread; you are showing great promise.
Keep in touch

It is early morning, well, early for me, and there's just too much going on here for me to take in. I think I'll just second everything that Bill said and leave it at that.
Plus congratulations to Steph and Brian and hope to have 'em back on here soon.

David,
Surely you do not need to chain yourself to anything; are you not Single and Free?
Gisela and Linda,
Have a wonderful time.
Gisela, remember what I said about the handsome men.
Come on Europeans and Brits ( note how I separate the Brits from other Europeans) don't be shy, will you be watching the Eurovision Song Contest tomorrow?
Noe (yes I will. I think it's a hoot)

Like you Carol I think it's a scream, I managed to watch the semi finals despite the comments from the wife who reckons I'm a sad b****** ! but we are out tomorrow so I will have to wait until Sunday for the result. I will record it though it's one of life's pleasures to watch the €urovision while downing a few beer's
Gary.

Have to agree with you the whole Eurovision is now such a travesty the only remotely good thing is listening to the wantonly non PC Mr Wogan. Of course it makes us laugh but I have an idea the original concept was way,way removed from what it has become. Have not watched for years and have no intention of doing so - possibly because I will be on a train, a little tipsy clutching various plants and hoping we remember where to get off.Does that make me sad or "Oh so sad" ? And do I care - no.

David and Sandra,
That's the point. I watch it to hear Sir Wogan's comments, but I draw the line at watching the semis! I love the way you know that Cyprus will vote for Greece, and vice versa, all the Scandinavian countries will vote for each other, Portugal will vote for Spain, and no-one votes for the UK! ( except Malta maybe)
David, Don't worry about who will be looking in; I'll look after you!
And thanks for acknowledging that this is my thread; I won't let it go to my head.
Did you like my latest story by the way?
Night

Debn Maid,
No I don't remember I'm afraid. I aint that sad!
David,
I like your style!
Here we are wittering away about the Eurovision Song Contest and you pop up talking about rum. Is that your subtle way of telling us to change the subject?
Sorry about your having none left.
Speaking of Devon maids, when travelling to Scilly I bought a little touristy book called "How To Be Proper Cornish".
It says that Cornish women are also referred to as maids, which makes sense as you and the Devonians are neighbours.
It also says Cornish men address each other, apparently, as "M'cock, my bird, boy or my handsome". Really?
So how should an English female grockle address you? "My handsome" does seem a little forward, seeing as we've never been formally introduced, though I'm sure the term is most apt...
Shall I settle for "boy?"
