The sky is clear except for a little locally generated cloud to the north. So it looks like we have a couple of weeks good weather.Come to think of it I have never seen it rain or even overcast for Carnival. Bacchanal in three weeks!

I hope you are right David. We are heading Tobago way tomorrow for two weeks and could really do with some sunshine (and a bit of wind for the Other half to windsurf off Pigeon Point). Just got to make sure we get to the airport through all the slush and snow in the morning ...

C-Ville, Monday, Yes David today was one of the best this year. Since last Wed. it has rained almost all day and all night except for Sat. afternoon. All day Friday and all day yesterday it rained really hard. The Bay has been pretty muddy and there have been some small slides on the roads. Fishing has not been very good. Phil

Dry air is very close ... full of Saharan dust ... so this should soon start suppressing the moisture.
I can't see anything significant on the satellite loops ... so nothing major.

Dear Paul,
Please could you ask the weather to hurry up and dry out, because if I have to bring my bloody washing in one more time, I may cry!!
I could put it all in the tumble drier I suppose.... but I'd have to bring it back in soaking wet to do it!
Yours grumpily

Ha ... I guess you had better use the tumble drier Lisa ... I can see the moisture but the sat loops show me no rain ... the dry stuff is close by.
Anyway ... sometimes it takes days to dry clothes with all the humidity so just as well you have a tumble drier ... lucky you
It should get drier soon ... it has taken longer than I thought to get there but it is close so it should be right by the weekend.
David ... where is the wind coming from? ... haven't you been sat in a bar all day?
I would swap all this for the white stuff we have been getting here in the UK !!
Regards

Morning all
Its hard to describe how much rain fell yesterday afternoon and evening according to some locals its the heaviest that they have seen in January, the river (wish looked like the Orinoco)has washed away all of the beach up to the wall of the Naturalist and the only way to get easily onto the beach is to walk up to the Cascreole.
It has at least started a lot brighter this morning so lets hope for better.
Please give me some hope Paul.
Regards
Paul

Hi All,
I agree when will this rain ever stop...please Paul talk to the weather gods. My husband is threatening to send me back to Canada; the weather was great until I arrived! Have my fingers crossed for today...still sunny.
I don't think I have seen this much rain in Feb in years...looking more like November. I would like to go to the beach and like Lisa would also like to have a easier time drying our clothes. I gave up on the clothes line a week ago. The clothes dryer where we are staying requires a trip outside our apt and down two flights of stairs and recently the need to dress in rain gear.
Paul, your weather report is my "go to" while in Tobago. We have satellite TV in the apt we are renting...not much help I can tell you what the weather is in Singapore but not Tobago. And internet sites are not much better...most of the time it's only useful if you're at Crown Point. We're staying in the Studley Park area. Keep the info coming, I can count on your weather reports being close to the real thing, thanks

OK ... I have had a really close look at it today.
The dry stuff is setting in ... I saw that there has been some cloud or light rain for about half an hour today so I will put that down to a shower.
Otherwise it looks all clear.
Any more problems let me know and I will 'have a word' with Mother Nature.
But I have to be honest and say that the echoes on the satloops did not indicate that the rain was that heavy.
I am sure it is now starting to clear up.

Sat, C-ville, Wed. here was the most rain for a day this year. We came up from town and the water along the whole Atlantic coast was mud. I have never seen it that bad for such a long ways. Thursday was ok no rain but the bay was quite muddy. Friday was a nice day as was today. Calypso caravan tomorrow night in C-ville and the Tobago Pan finals on Tuesday night at the stadium. Phil

Before anyone starts !!
Yes I know it is raining again ... there are some quite bright echoes on the radar which means that there is a small area of heavy rain just south of Tobago but it is very localised.
The Caribbean is generally very dry so Tobago is a little unlucky to get more rain ... it should not last too long ... as said in the Weekly update it can be very hit and miss.

Hello all
I have not been on to report on the weather for a few days as we have been drying out our stuff, 11 days now and only 2 that were sunny and this is the supposed dry season.
I am not overly sure about today either as it rained heavily overnight and we have had showers this morning.
Silly thing is we are still having a great time.
Regards
Paul

Thanks Paul.
Unfortunately there has been quite a change in the weather patterns today ... I have just updated Liquid Sunshine ... I regret to say that it is not looking too good for the next few days.
