Bruv!
Come and have a hug, give that Black Dog a kick and don't be a silly Billy.
Of
course I noticed you hadn't posted for a few days!
I didn't like to intrude on your privacy; I know you and Bill are not daily posters and didn't want to be an old nag. Even Special Agent Watkins doesn't visit this thread
every day. ( I'm too scared to nag him!)
Hope your tests are OK. My GP wanted to check everything
except cholesterol, which we know is OK.
I've just come home and found a letter saying the results are back, and would I please phone the doc, which I'll do tommorrow. So now what? I've definitely been found out.
Unless I use our pre-historic laptop, I'm going to be off-line for a day or two as Kev our computeroligist friend is taking our machine away to tinker with it, and hopefuly speed it up.
Make the most of my absence folks!
See ya
Noe

Good Evening,
It's amazing the effect a mere ocean has on our use of words. 'Yard' is often used to describe the entire outside area of one's property while 'garden' usually refers to specific areas that are planted with something other than grass, such as a vegetable garden or a rose garden. Of course we also use the word yard to describe walled and paved areas which could include prison yards, construction yards, equipment yards and courtyards.
'Tap' and 'faucet' are pretty much used interchangeably although faucet will usually imply decorative fixtures inside the house whereas tap will imply a more utilitarian fixture. Of course we also use a tap on a keg of beer (and let's not get into any discussions as to whether or not American brews are worthy of the name 'beer')

Hi everyone,I've been home for a week now and have been trying to catch up with all the ramblings.my head is spinning with it all

What busy waffling peeps you have been

.I had a fabulous holiday and feel very relaxed and healthy.Bumped into Linda P and co. at the food festival on Pigeon point( Hi Linda )and have seen the famous Tigger tatoo. Introduced myself to Brian when the Ali Baba mini bus arrived at Bon Accord lagoon just as I was leaving. I know I am short but I took on midget status for a couple of minutes

Then on a driving trip to show some friends around the island I went in search of Sea Breeze and discovered that Steph was missing from home in anticipation of a happy event.I was sorry not to meet her but the reason was delightfull to hear.I got a number for her and was able to talk to her later.Had a drink at the boathouse and swam in Heavenly bay before tackling the steep track and drive back to Bonn Accord.
Am at work at the moment so must go now but will catch you all again soon.
Love Gill xxxxx

Well Gill it sounds like you had a great time over there

Relaxed and healthy too it's the best way to be

Tell me is the Boathouse serving alcohol again ? Or is it still on soft drinks only ?
And as it's a Friday evening I will join you in being R & H
Gary.

Hi Gary, The other party members got the drinks in whilst I was looking for Steph but as the rum drinker was indulging in fresh lemonade I assume it still has soft drink status

My ginger beer was very refreshing and very gingery. Was out on the town myself last night but the rum was very sadly lacking, and so was the weather
Cheers,Gill x

Hi Gill,

Gary, they still have no license for alcohol. Only on Wednesday with the Steelbandparty they offer rumpunch with the dinner ( I had a few

).
Didn't see Steph and the baby but heard they are both OK.
Cheers
Gisela
PS: Even it is hot and cloudless in Germany it is not the same

Peace and Love to All,
Last night Mary Lou and I attended the opening presentation of our towns weekly "Summer Concerts In The Park" program. It was a beautiful summer evening. The group performing was American English, considered to be one of the best Beatle tribute bands in the States. Quite a sight to see all of us old timers decked out in tie-dyed shirts, love beads and granny glasses rocking and dancing under the stars. The only thing missing was that sweet smell in the air.
About 3000 people were there, out of a population of about 15,000 in our town, so was quite a good turnout. The best part was watching all the teens groovin' in front of the bandstand (and probably wondering how come all us old geezers were having so much fun)

Have finally finished reading through postings since I went on Hols, took 1/2 hour! wow you've all been busy!
Re aliens: I was for some time referred to as 'Dodo the kid from outer space' at school, does anyone remember him? this was due to an unfortunate surname which Bill would identify with an unidentified person (does that make any sense??

)
Sir Watkins of Kernow, if your passport is valid for travels as far as Northampton I have now stocked up with White Oak, Old Oak Gold (my prefered tipple), Puncheon (to scare my friends), Cocomania (twice the strength of malibu) and some creamy licquer which I think was a Rum based version of Baileys. Suffice to say I may have a slight Rum obsession, also may have slightly exceeded my duty free allowance

oops! you are welcome to pop round for a drink or three if you are in the area.
Kevin: can you let some of the mermaids back into the sea please, bumped into a turtle who said he was badly in need of a manicure.
Lisa: best i could come up with was 'Aphid 'n' Lisp', am sure you can figure out my surname from that.
hope you are all well

Hi Linda,
I do like a challenge... assuming that it starts with P, the options are limited, so... is it P and then a part of your body that you shake when dancing.... actually, in my case, that's most of my body, and it continues for several minutes after I've finished dancing, .... sigh... back to the diet!
Lisa.

Didn't you wear your after-shave then Bill? or should I say "mens fragrance"?
Come on Mr Photographer, photos of you in the Flower Power gear then please!
Linda, please tell us who is who! I know Gill is "vertically challenged", but I can't be sure of the height of either of you from the photo.
Glad to have you all back!
