Come on Mr Photographer, photos of you in the Flower Power gear then please!
Hey Bill,
If you rise to Noe's challenge on this one I will match it with a picture of my own from those long gone days of heady excess (though it appears that more than a few of you wafflers still engage in a substantial amount of excess, but in a more liquid and legal form).

We have the Isle of Wight Festival this weekend. I will be in my garden. In my long distant youth I hitch-hiked all over to festivals, many of them free. Today, long of tooth and grey of hair, I avoid gatherings like this. Now that alcohol has become the preferred intoxicant and hundreds of policemen with sniffer dogs are bussed in to make sure that it stays that way the atmosphere has changed for the worse in my opinion. I can see no pleasure at all in spending three days and nights surrounded by drunken young people and policemen with dogs. 'Fings ain't wot they used to be, that's for sure.

That said, I hope the sun shines for 'em all and they have as good a time as we used to.

Tony

Hi All,

Lisa and Gill, I'm really sorry I missed you. Now that I know how you look like it will be easy to find you the next time. And Yes, I also made the experience that wearing a "mytobago"-cap makes it very easy to get known to a lot of other readers/writers from here.

Noe, I got a new pic from a good looking guy but I promised not to put it on the Internet so I will send you one by email. Hope you like it... no, I'm SURE you will like it

Bill, that sounds really good. And Noe is very right, we need to see some photos!

Cheers
Gisela

PS: Carol, can you send me your eMail address?

Sorry Guys,

All those pictures are long gone. Seriously, we returned from our first trip to Tobago in 2001 to a badly flooded basement (probably called a cellar on your side) due to a failed sump pump. We threw out boxes and boxes of pictures and all sorts of irreplaceable family momentoes. Since then we've installed a backup battery powered pump, elevated most items and put what was left in plastic tubs.

Tony go ahead and be a sport and post your picture

Bill

Ladies,
I have received a very interesting email from Gisela, and am glad my husband wasn't in the room!!
She has a great talent for persuading men wearing not very much at all to pose for her camera. This particular hunk resides in Castara, but does not want to appear on the internet so you will have to use your imagination while I keep him all to myself in my inbox. I'll just say that the -um- garment he is wearing was hardly worth the effort of putting on.
If he does appear on the net, Castara will be invaded by hoards of women...
Shorty, you are a very naughty girl and have made a middle-aged lady very happy.
Going for a cold shower now.
Noe =P~

Tony! Bruv!
What a lovely memory! You both look so HAPPY!
You've both got bare feet too. Love it. Wonderful!
You should have it enlarged to poster size and hung in pride of place on the wall. =D>
Look at all that hair!
What year was it, or shouldn't I ask? And where was it?

In envy of someone who's had an interesting life..

Hi Sis

The photo was taken on Shanklin Esplanade in the summer of '73. I was 21 and Janette was 18. We were both working in a seafront hotel (just behind my head)to get the money to go off to India at the end of the season.

And yes David, (as one of the few people on this forum who has actually seen me in the flesh) considerably less hirsute and now also a different colour - grey.

Sandra, actually they are Levis with a triangular piece of old denim sewn into each leg below the knee to make the flare. Did you do that?

Glad I made you smile. It made me smile to know that I made you smile.
