The weather today in Tobago is partly cloudy with lots of sunshine :D
After a brief shower in the Scarborough area this morning 7:30 am it cleared up nicely.

Greetings from Tobago,

Andy

It rained hard off and on all night. Breezy and cool this morning with thunderheads drifting in.

I love it!

Yes Hugh, i had just finished typing my comment when it started to change.
Back in Trinidad now since last night, it is similar, but not much rain today, only a few drops.
Obviously, the rainy season has started. I could have done without it until whenever :!:

Serious rain for most of yesterday. Today's show started with a 5:20 am blast of wind and rain out of the east. Peaceful and drippy now with blue skies and distant thunderheads.

Yes the rainy season has started and the plants are singing (in the rain  ). The mosquitoes have been tolerable so far but they are feeling those carnal urges with all this rain.

Time to feed the birds. Mot mot is hooting for breakfast. Soggy bread is not food fit for a king.

Here comes another burst!

Hi Hugh

Thanks for the feedback.

You seem to be getting alot of Trade Showers ... I am not seeing much on the sat loops and there are no weather systems near Tobago ... it's just high level moisture in the atmosphere.

See what happens this Tuesday when the next Tropical wave moves in ... it will rain a bit but there is drier air behind the Wave.

Hopefully an improvement from Thursday onwards.

Regards

Paul,

It started raining hard about 4 am. We lost three banana trees with full bunches in a fierce wind around 10 am. Overcast but no precip at the moment. Looks like an all day affair.

Blink on and off all day, mostly off. It doesn't take much to interrupt internet service here.

Gee, I can't get much work done today. The hammock is beckoning. Is it beer thirty yet?

Paul and all,

A squall just passed and the skies are cloudy and threatening. No rain yesterday, lots of muggy sunshine.

I'll keep updating.

Paul,

It rained hard most of yesterday. A wonderful lazy day spent limin' and playing cards with me old mudder and family.

Sunny but partially cloudy this morning, can't yet tell what the day will bring. I'll update later. We are planning a day at Pigeon Point and an island tour tomorrow.

UPDATE @ 7:37 pm

No rain felt, passing squalls seen in the distance. Hot day at PP. 8)

Thanks Hugh

The worst of the bad weather associated with the last Tropical Wave affected areas to the north as expected on Tuesday.

Another strong Wave is arriving in the next 24 hours so expect some heavy rain and squalls tomorrow/Friday.

Hi Paul,

Glad we got our road trip out of the way yesterday. We got a little shower up by Bloody Bay, otherwise clear all day.

It looks good so far this morning. Tomorrow sounds like another rainy lime at home with the family day.

Thanks, Hugh 8)

Hi Roel

It's very difficult ... this week there have been 3 quite strong Tropical Waves but the worst of the weather was north of Tobago even though there was a little rain.

Next week is likely to be the same but will Tobago be lucky again?

But you should get plenty of sunshine ... it's very rare for it to rain more than a couple of days.

Regards

Hi Paul,

I see you are online.

Sunny and muggy today with some very brief showers early.

Mt. Irvine beach was divine. On our way now to Store Bay for some grub.

Raining hard off and on all morning. Definitely looks like an all day affair. White rain.

Thanks Hugh

It seems to be clearing up although the Wave has yet to pass.

The next Wave will arrive around Weds/Thurs ... plenty of dry air until then.

I am watching a new one developing off Africa whick looks interesting so watch this space (or the Hurricane 2009 space) for a week from now.

Hello Paul,

Hard rain this morning, then lots of sun and now a sprinkle. You know how it is.

Too bad we won't be here for next week's rain/hurricane, we return to the States Sunday. It has been an amazing visit (as always).

True ... the weather isn't important ... you just enjoy Tobago whether it be rain or shine.

If I ever decide to hand my notice to Mother Nature I guess I could use that as an excuse ... I don't think she will let me though.

Again, lots and lots of rain is coming down these days in NW Trinidad. Port of Spain had severe flash floods on
Tuesday, and i wouldn't be surprised if i would hear the same later in the news about today.
The rain gutter in front of my office came crashing down this morning during a heavy shower.
Nobody got hurt and no vehicle damaged, for some reason nobody had parked his car under he rain gutter today.
One should install the brackets for it with more than 1/2" screws ...

Greetings from Trinidad,

Andy
