We have an April trip set-staying at Beach House in Castara, have rental car arranged. We arrive the evening of 4/10 which falls right in the Easter holiday time. I know this is a problem with exchanging money and having places open. Questions:
1. Will we still be able to exchange $ at the airport? We arrive late, around 9 or 10 pm, next day is Easter, then Easter Mon, so Im worried about that
2. Will the groceries be open that evening, will we need to wait until Tuesday to purchase fool items?
3. I assume a portion of restaurants will be open Sun and Mon as an alternative?
4. We love to explore islands, will have a 4WD, love to snorkel, have some drinks and some meals. Any recommendations beyond what I have recently read? Thanks ever so much

Deb and Tom,
US$ are acceptable on the island however change will be given in TT$.Otherwise change your money at the banks.
Your other questions are answered in other topics.
Have good time

Deb and Tom,

Not sure what airports you'll be passing through on your way to Tobago but maybe this will help:

The money changing concessions at the Miami International Airport readily change US to TT. There is a slight fee-- not enough to really worry about. I always feel more comfortable arriving with a bit of local currency, especially on a holiday. This can tide you over until the banks open.

Also, some US bank cards work in the Tobago ATMs, and of course the money comes out of the wall in TT!

Have fun!
