Plymouth Kite Festival

Post by Carol G »

Just remembered, save me the comments; I admit brain going...must be too much time (again) in the cold fighting off the flu, instead of time in Tobago. The December Caribbean Air magazine had an article about the kite festival in Plymouth during the Christmas holidays...is this a secret? Sorry, do not have article cannot provide detail. Sounds like a fun time; has anyone been?

Cheers and Happy New Years to all,
Carol

Hey Carol,

See if this link works:

Tobago events are towards the bottom of the page and there is a phone number.

Carol, the kite festival usually starts around boxing day and goes on for about 5 days.It is by no means a secret as kite flyers from everywhere come to show their kites and flying skills. There is often a few miles of traffic trying to get into the village.

Thanks Hugh & David,
This what I love about "My Tobago".....even though we spend a lot of time in Tobago, can always depend on the forum to give us invaluable information; events we would have missed, new places to eat/visit and even secret local gems (such as our fave fruit and veggie mart). Our local friends say..."oh, thought you knew about that"... Thanks again.
Cheers,
Carol

I totally agree, Steve does a great job here! The accommodation and restaurant reviews are very helpful too.
