We absolutely loved the island, the people, the beaches, the rain forests, and of course the Caribbean Sea, and the climate. We thought the island to be relatively inexpensive, and one month was about right to enable us to do and see all that we wished.
We found Gillian and Dixie..(owner and staff) to be attentive and helpful during our stay, and we had no issues with our apartment.....in fact, the view was great, and the location was perfect...close to bus service, Grafton beach, and Mt. Irvine beach.
The issues that detracted from our visit was the unbelievable noise that came nightly from a local bar...Moon Over Water....and the election sound trucks that found us everywhere on the island. It would seem that there are no noise by-laws in effect on the island, and there definitely should be!
Overall, we rated our time on Tobago as a 7 out of 10, and would return again in the future.....though not during an election, and likely in a more secluded and quieter location, although that would mean a car rental!
