We stayed at Shirma’s apartment for 7 weeks while doing our medical elective at Scarborough
General Hospital.
We selected Shirma´s after reading the good reports on this homepage. We were looking for a clean and safe room, big enough for 3 persons and well appointed: we found it at Shirma’s apartment.
We spent our time in an apartment with 2 bedrooms, each one appointed with an own bathroom (basin, toilet and shower). The apartment has a well furnished kitchen with everything you need for self-supply. There is also a laundry room with a washing machine.
We had wireless-lan in the whole apartment, even in the amazing garden.
Minister Bay is only 5 minutes walk away from the apartment (the sea is very rough). You reach the Bacolet Beach within 10 minutes walking. The beach is a wonderful caribian place to relax after working at the hospital.
Shirma is a wonderful person who really takes care of her guests. She picked us up from the airport and drove us to the hospital every morning ( moved in April 2013, so it’s too long to walk). If we had any problems, we could ask Shirma or one of the very friendly family members, and they always solved it. All in all you could say, she made you feel like being at home.
Because of the fact, Shirma was working during the day and our working time at the hospital ended most of the time at 1 pm, she gave us the number of a really reasonable taxi-driver: Donny. He picked us up every day from the hospital and drove us around the island to every place we’d like to see.
For us, to choose the apartment was the best decision. Thank you Shirma for making the 7 weeks stay to such a great one!
